in view of the recent scams with fake exam papers online, these F2F workshops (and the presenter!) are genuine! 👍🏻

That molten NaCl conducts electricity, lighting a lamp, is quoted in textbooks but never shown. Pleased to say an innovative microscale method paves the way @CLEAPSS @SFEd_RSC @RSC_EiC #ASEChat @ChemEdX @SciInSchool @ASTA_online @_NZIC @ChatChemistry @EdTech_RSC @beyondbenign

A link to a video on the electrolysis of molten NaCl. Often quoted but seldom, if ever, seen from @CLEAPSS and @Magdamazons @SFEd_RSC @RSC_EiC #ASEChat @ChemEdX @SciInSchool @ASTA_online @_NZIC @ChatChemistry @EdTech_RSC @beyondbenign https://t.co/mxxEQwdk8H via @YouTube

Magnesium reacting with steam from @CLEAPSS is here https://t.co/SvBgCxxzMk in which both the macro (often done poorly) & micro version are shown. The latter is quantitative as I aimed to make 60ml. @SFEd_RSC @RSC_EiC #ASEChat @ChemEdX @SciInSchool #SciED, @ASTA_online @_NZIC

Testing for nitrates is easy & rather beautiful using microscale from @CLEAPSS. It does take a few minutes. Go to https://t.co/YiiecME2EG @SFEd_RSC @RSC_EiC #ASEChat @ChemEdX @SciInSchool #SciED, @ASTA_online @_NZIC. There are more microscale movies on https://t.co/GNuz8AcHnP

9 years ago I made https://t.co/MTcREavMA3 @CLEAPSS; the electrolysis of molten salts. I used an iron nail as the +ve electrode but our technician, Charlotte suggested a welding rod. Lead on its surface can be used as a pencil! @SFEd_RSC @RSC_EiC #ASEChat @ChemEdX @SciInSchool

Here is an idea using plastic syringes and 3-way taps from @CLEAPSS to carry out rates of reaction where the product is a gas. The values on the vertical syringe are the right way up! @RSC_EiC @SciInSchool @ChemEdX @theASE @SFEd_RSC #ASEChat @ASTA_online @_NZIC @ChatChemistry
