Creatively connect with students as you establish #relationships and a welcoming classroom culture.
I remember being asked in an interview last year, “would I still welcome my students with customized greetings once they return?” My response remains the same, you don’t have to physically touch a child to actually “touch” a child. #thedopeeducator

The next time you encounter someone's challenging behavior, ask them what they are trying to communicate. All BEHAVIOR is a form of communication. https://t.co/yGLk5771F1

Research continues to show us that the number 1 factor influencing student achievement is collective teacher efficacy. More influential then socioeconomic status, summer school, and parental involvement! @WESWildcat @SolutionTree #collaborationiskey #highstandardshighsuccess

"Reading aloud to your child is one of the most important things you can do as a parent — and what you read to your child has an impact. Key to this? Making sure there’s diversity in those books, especially in this locked-down world."

Self-care has never been more important for teachers than it is now. Self-care is more than eating right, regular exercise and getting enough sleep. Your pattern of thinking can affect your health as well. https://t.co/xArpd2c1Rp

Tier 3 Tip for Teams: When analyzing student assessment data always consider "why" the student is not learning. Knowing proficiency levels tells you where they are today- knowing "why" they aren't learning gives you the information needed to be targeted & close learning gaps.
