I had the pleasure of addressing reps from BBC, ITVx, S4C & Daily Mail group last week at the Disability Wales annual conference. I talked about how people are afraid to say the wrong thing. We need to role model making mistakes in public & recovering from them.

Reading & writing: my least comfortable way of communicating with people β be they colleagues, customers or loved ones β it's my most disabling trait. But people rely on me routinely & consistently being able to check, read & respond to written msgs & emails. #ActuallyAutistic

Don't confuse Reactions with Reasons. Anxiety and behaviour are reactions which are often talked about as reasons. There's not point in trying to reduce anxiety if you don't change the reasons why someone is anxious. 2/

I've been invited to take part in this 8 year study by @DrAimeeGrant which I excitedly agreed to. To work with such an incredible team on a long term study is a dream.

I tried this stuff out with debtors, and even with interactions with the Police. I don't recommend it. I ended up in court but I didn't try it out with the judge thankfully! I represented myself against the Police though and DID get the case thrown out by testifying to the judge.

'Legality' isn't 'Law'. He's relying on what he believes to be the true Law in order to trip up the court. It's essentially a game of chess. My learning was around Contract Law, debt and civil matters. It doesn't seem to make as much 'sense' in Criminal trials.

A few things: 1. It's basically the Flat Earth of Law. 2. He states that 'Mr Brooks' isn't his name because of beliefs re: birth certificates, the creation of debt & being 'enrolled' at birth to work for the state. 3. 'I don't understand' doesn't mean what you think it means.
