A Kansas Department of Transportation (KDOT) bridge replacement project on U.S. 183 in Kiowa County is now complete. The bridge over the East Fork of Rattlesnake Creek about 12 miles north of the Comanche County line officially reopened Dec. 10.

Monday, Nov. 10, the Kansas Department of Transportation (KDOT) plans to start an emergency reinforcement project on the Walnut River bridge on the east edge of El Dorado that carries U.S. 54 in Butler County. The road will stay OPEN until at least after Thanksgiving.

Beginning Nov. 2, the BNSF railroad plans to close U.S. 77 to through traffic to perform work on their crossing just south of the city of Augusta. Traffic will be detoured on Santa Fe Lake Road and SW 210th Street. The road is expected to reopen by Nov. 9, conditions permitting.
