Four case study Boxes are presented with empirical support from the original studies on specific dyad and triad links to outcomes. Dyads and triads can be the building blocks for more complex real world models, as the recurring sub-units of of SES theory.

We identify the optimal suite of dyads and triad pairs of independent variables, where more theorzing and empirical testing would cover a large percentage of recurrence across exsiting empirical cases (where to perhaps focus future research investment).

We show which pairs of two and three variables are most common across models within SES framework case studies. We also show the model relationship of those pairings to positive or negative, social or ecological outcomes.

Independent variables such as Leadership, Social capital, Importance of the resource and Property rights are known to individually shape outcomes, along with dozens of other SES framework variables often studied. However, they also have interactive effects.
