French team at the Tour de France for perhaps their final year in existence and they've decided to chain 7 riders to Vauquelin's Monfort Zone bid.
These guys have lost their minds. Didier Rous, sports director of Arkea B&B Hotels in today's L'Equipe: "We made a mistake yesterday, one of our riders attacked (it was Raul Garcia Pierna btw) instead of staying with Vauquelin. We'll talk about this and we won't allow it to.

as a general rule, a TT bike is faster up to about 8 % gradient. Most of Peyragudes is 7-8% with a couple of flat sections and few steep ramps towards the end. a lot will depend on the weight of different tt setups and how much more time they expect to spend on the steep ramps.

Think there might be a couple of teams who 'make the calculations' and decide a TT bike will be faster up Peyragudes. #TDF2025.
