Yesterday I welcomed a @Europarl_EN delegation that is visiting for discussions on Capitol Hill. Having their presence here in Washington and in front of Congress sends a signal that balanced dialogue is paramount to strengthening EU-US relations.

Strong European representation at last night's roundtable before @GLOBSEC. With experts, we discussed the most needed actions to keep unity and purpose within the transatlantic alliance. This is especially crucial as the war in Ukraine approaches 3 years.

At a policy forum hosted by @akin_gump this morning, I underscored that it is in our mutual interest to invest heavily in the transatlantic relationship. We are each other's biggest economic partner. We both want peace in Ukraine. America has no better friend than the EU.

With the Washington International Business Council this AM: No one can deny the impact of the EU-US trade relationship. Investments create jobs that provide wages for communities across both continents. Tariffs will only raise costs and fuel inflation, jeopardizing this.
