With under 85nm go to, the team should arrive in Antigua late on the 20th. This estimate keeps creeping sooner as the scientists zone in on the big finish! Braving blizzards and busy airports, the Salty families are on their own quests to beat the team to Nelson’s dockyard! 💪✈️

26 days into the race, Salty Science is more than halfway to Antigua with less than 1000nm to go! The team are currently 1st in women's class, 5th in fours, and 8th overall 👏 Spirits on board Emma are high, especially after a swim with a pod of dolphins the other day! 🐬.

“These waves are HUGE. Most of the time it’s okay, but then these monster sets roll through. We’re in agreement that some of them are AS BIG AS EMMA!” (Emma, their boat, is 28ft!) . "Last night, Noelle was hit by a flying fish. So now her clothes smell of frightened fish." 😯🐟.

Today marks 1 week since the team left the Canary Islands! Over the past couple of days, they've seen some of their worst weather yet, but things will be letting up over the next 48 hours. Here are some updates from our latest call with the team:.

Delighted to welcome Lisa Lorenz onboard yesterday. Lisa brought us more amazing food from @FoodEatfreedom, like freeze-dried cherry tomatoes that will taste like the fresh stuff. #WorldsToughestRow #Atlantic2023 #OceanWomen

This is Rob, from the team that last rowed Emma across the Atlantic. Such a joy to meet him in person after lots of zoom and whatsapp interactions. Rob came to see us off, and brought us some #PercyPigs for the crossing. Thanks Rob!. #WorldsToughestRow #Atlantic2023 #OceanWomen
