Yesterday at 10:18 our Environmental Protection Unit was mobilised to the fire in Walworth Business Park, Andover. At 10:30 one appliance was mobilised to stand by Eastleigh station, then moved on to Andover station, finally ending up at the incident as relief, until 17:30

At 17:41 we were called to a fire in a bedroom of a domestic property. The fire had started from a candle left in the window. An open flame can destroy your home in minutes., please visit our website for candle safety

Last night one appliance was mobilised along with the Aerial Ladder Platform from @StMarys54 to rescue a very special person, who had crash landed on the @romseytc Town Hall whilst doing a test flight. Thank you to everyone who attended to watch the rescue. 🚒 🚒 🎅🏻

At 13:36 one of our appliances was mobilised to Dumbridge for a domestic fire, persons reported. Backed up by appliances from @Eastleigh32, @Redbridge53 & @StMarys54. All persons accounted for and handed over to @SCAS999. Fire located in the kitchen.

Last night we had the pleasure of congratulating Ff Phil NICHOLSON & Ff Jim MACDONALD on receiving their 20 year long service medals , presented to them by Assistant Director of Operations @tasker_dan

At 02:54 this morning both appliances along with crews from @Eastleigh32 & @Redbridge53 were called to a domestic fire on Botley Road, Romsey. All persons accounted for. Due to structural collapse, initial action was to tackle the fire from outside.

Earlier today we were mobilised to Crossfield Hall carpark for a baby that was accidentally locked in the car, with the key inside. A big thank you to the two @AldiUK contractors for their assistance 👏🏻

We are all deeply saddened to hear of the passing of Her Majesty The Queen. On behalf of Hampshire and Isle of Wight Fire and Rescue Service, we send our deepest condolences to the Royal Family.

This afternoon we attended an Automatic Fire Alarm just outside of Romsey, When we returned to the truck we found a pigeon in the road that wouldn't fly off, We contacted a local vetinary that kindly took it in & get it back to health, We decided to name the pigeon - Gary! 😅

Apologies for the lack of updates recently, as you can imagine we’ve been extremely busy, attending a large number of fires in the open (large & small) on our own patch and assisting our colleagues across the county. Our EPU attended a chemical spill on the M3 yesterday.

*** POSTPONED *** Charity car wash on 7th August for the @firefighters999 Unfortunately with the incoming hose pipe ban, we have had to postpone this event for obvious reasons, We will discuss a future date and make a new event in due course, Sorry again!

Another busy day for us, 5 x calls, including vehicle fire, automatic fire alarm (AFA), fire in the open small and large, and just now a domestic fire in Hythe. Last week we attended a total of 18 calls. 🚒

At a large diesel spill with @Redbridge53 @Romsey33. AFA started to sound whilst here in another property also dealt with. A Community Safety opportunity taken with good effect
