Julia, our amazing SLT assistant, strikes again with innovative & patient centred solutions! ☺️ Her patient's electrolarynx, which they rely on for communication, had snapped and they were struggling to keep it nearby whilst they're an inpatient on a ward.

So proud of the work of our amazing head and neck SLT team - such a great idea all executed by our amazing SLTA, Julia @nhsuhcw @bekki_ford @beccafozz.
Brilliant collaborative work by our H&N speech therapy assistant, @julia_pennie this week. She wanted to use an Aspire Medical EMST device to support dysphagia therapy with a patient, but their trismus was impacting on the lip seal needed to make the device effective. 1/3.
