DING DING DING. Netflix failed horribly at streaming live in April 2023 with their Love is Blind reunion. Had a good proof of concept with the F1 golf tournament in Vegas. The fight is what it is, but by far the biggest news is Netflix going into live sports and combat sports.
I’m honestly a bit surprised at the sour reactions. I’m not expecting dedicated combat sports fans to be enticed by the matchup, but if this means Netflix - far and away the biggest global streaming service - gets into combat sports, that’s an enormous boost to their fortunes.
