The term ‘Open AI Robotics’ is great. Let’s create something amazing for humanity!
So excited to announce that @huggingface @LeRobotHF can now be installed with a simple pip install and just crossed 15,000 @github stars! It's already integrated into hundreds of robots, ranging from simple hand grippers like the SO-100/101 all the way to some of the most

Ali and his team work super hard to help robotics companies as much as they can for using Lightberry, which makes robotics more intelligent and with more automated features. I’m glad we met in Shenzhen and discussed lots of cool things about the future of robotics. @aliatttar

Unitree’s founder, Wang Xingxing, is absolutely right. Let’s work together and compete for the future and the world, not against each other, especially in AI and robotics.

Very likely. I’ll check both Sam’s Club and Costco in Shenzhen too. Once I see it, I’ll share it with you all.

I’m going to host three robotics YC startups in Shenzhen next week. It’s great to see more and more YC founders visiting Shenzhen. As long as we keep collaborating closely between SZ and SF, I believe we’ll see more breakthroughs in robotics and automation for the world.

It’s amazing that humanity will be able to vacation in space in our lifetime. I would love to sit on the Moon and watch robots build bases for us.

I’ve always thought BYD is underrated. It’s one of the most significant EV companies in the world, and it started making EVs in Shenzhen back in 2003 when almost no one was thinking about them. Anyway, thanks to BYD’s founder, Wang Chuanfu, for the follow on X. @WangChuanfuBYD
The BYD Shenzhen, the world's largest vehicle transport ship, delivers nearly 8,000 electric cars to the West. https://t.co/0SB5CJPxcP

I guess there’s only one city in the world that’s good at all four: drones, EVs, AI hardware, and robotics. Just move to SZ. It will change your life.
On Nov. 1, it was announced that the 33rd APEC Leaders’ Meeting will be held in Shenzhen, southern China's tech hub, in 2026. Shenzhen is home to 25,000 national high-tech enterprises and over 74,000 robotics companies—leading China in AI, robotics, and smart mobility. As the

Shenzhen robotics company Dobot has launched the Rover X1 at 7,499 RMB (about 1,050 USD). This home robot dog offers dual-vision tracking, all-terrain mobility, coding support, security patrols and companionship. Looks like the robot dog will now cost about as much as a phone.

That’s why I highly recommend AI hardware and robotics founders come and see what’s really happening in Shenzhen. Great thread, thanks for sharing!
last time I was in Shenzhen I walked through a dark factory & the thing that got me was there were literally zero workers on the floor, the entire production line was running in complete darkness because when you don't have humans you don't need lights and these robots were

Shenzhen is a must-visit city for AI hardware, robotics, and tech in general, and it’s also full of beautiful architecture, parks, natural scenery, and ocean views. BTW, thanks to Shenzhen Channel for stopping by our open-source community two days ago! @sz_mediagroup
On Nov 1, the 33rd APEC Leaders' Meeting was announced to be held in Shenzhen, a coastal metropolis in southern China, in 2026. Nestled between the mountains and the sea, Shenzhen features 1,300+ parks, a 260 km coastline, and 3,600 km of greenways linking nature with city life.

It’s amazing that we’re all witnessing this transformative time as humanoid robots become useful and even indispensable in our lives. They will be in our homes, workplaces, factories, and everywhere humans live and work.
Are humanoid robots ready for the real world? With the recent opening of preorders for the 1X NEO, I think it’s time to write about how realistic it is that humanoid robots can be made to work in real homes. I go over four major concerns: - Are humanoid companies collecting the

I’m planning to bring humanoid robots from all the companies in Shenzhen to showcase and operate in my international maker space next year.
The LEJU humanoid robot KUAVO made an appearance as a torchbearer for the 15th National Games of China, carrying the torch during the relay stop in Shenzhen.

And now Shenzhen is becoming the center for AI hardware and robotics. I’m grateful my parents moved from a rural village in Hunan to Shenzhen back in 1986, it changed everything.
In just over four decades, Shenzhen has transformed from a remote fishing village into a modern metropolis. This is the power of China’s reform and opening up.
