Did my first slide transfer as a paraplegic today. My upper body is getting stronger everyday. I’ve only been posting videos of the small movement in my legs, but the reality is I am far away from walking on my own. I’ve never worked harder for anything in my life. More to come!!

The day I arrived here in rehab I looked at this Alter G and wanted to try it! I saw someone on it and was jealous of what they were achieving but motivated to get there myself. Today’s the day I got to do that! 0.3kph never felt so fast! What a great way to start the week off!

The surgery had no complications. One piece of the hardware had an infected screw. All hardware in my left leg was removed. Now I’ll start 6 weeks of IV antibiotics to insure the bone is free of any infections and we can get back to a full rehab program. Thanks for the msgs!!!

We are still chipping away day by day even though I haven’t posted about my recovery for a while! The resistance band around my legs forces me to engage more of my glutes. Which is key for my stability in my gait pattern and trunk support when standing. Happy Friday everyone!

Getting back on the wagon! The hardest part of having set backs is dealing with how tight my muscles get when I’m not exercising. After the last Surgery I atrophied about 7lbs from laying in a hospital bed for just 3 days. Maybe a pound or two was the medal removed from my leg 😬

Everyday is Leg day! This is a heel elevated box squat using the suspension trainer for support. Basically the wedge and the suspension trainer help maintain better posture in the squat to better work the glutes and other muscles of my hips. Thanks
