I do think folks in the future will have to trade off “having an IRL office” and “being in a place where talent live or want to live.” In ‘24 Campaign HQ being in Wilmington was a legit problem for the campaign in both its iterations m.

My lukewarm take(s) on this is that A) IRL is better/best/leads to better outcomes B) it’s really the employees who lose out if they’re remote as long as they’re delivering C) flex on remoteness/hybrid does help with getting talent in the year of our lord 2025

What possible interest would the US government have in keeping Epstein’s clients secret? Oh…
Are you paying attention yet? The DOJ and Ghislaine Maxwell's lawyers have made a deal that her “little black book” of contacts will never be made public https://t.co/ydzLFkrtlm

Just so interesting to me that Donald Trump continuously goes out of his way to defend pedophiles
“Within days of her arrival at a Texas prison camp in early August, Ghislaine Maxwell gushed in emails to her friends and family over the cleanliness and safety of her new surroundings… Maxwell was moved days after meeting with D AG Todd Blanche in July.”

I just think that some people could benefit from going outside
I was watching Netflix’s new series Death by Lightning. It’s set in Chicago, 1880 - and this establishing scene pops up. In the foreground: •an Asian woman, •two Black men, •and a one-legged man - all walking together downtown. It immediately stuck out to me, so I looked up

For all the people who were shocked — shocked — that money was moving around to support lefty influencers, check out the way public affairs money is sloshing around on the right https://t.co/xP6rWyukBX

"When I picked up my granddaughter from the federal agents, she had a dirty diaper, a bruise on her face, and was developing a rash. She was exhausted and cried… My heart aches knowing this could happen to others, to my kids, or even me, despite being U.S. citizens.”

I think we should do things that are good for the country that also have some political benefits. You can call it smug, I guess, but I think that part of governing isn’t worth being dismissive of in either upper case or lower case.
Rob, they’re not criticizing the bill. They’re criticizing the administration for using a bill whose benefits won’t be felt for years as a messaging tool. They’re criticizing the smug ass attitude exhibited in your tweet, aCtUaLLy

And let’s extend this: Voters aren’t running to the polls to get an expanded Taiwan semi plant in Pheonix— should we not have done CHIPS?

Think the fair take on infra is that it didn’t move fast enough/got slowed down by The Process ™️. But I think that different from “we shouldn’t do stuff bc it’s boring.” That’s the job!

The infrastructure bill was good, actually
"i gUeSs We'Re dOiNg iNfRaStRuCtUrE." "iT's tHe eAsIeSt ThInG tO gEt DoNe. BeLiEvE mE. jUsT TrUsT uS." Sen. Ruben Gallego and Rep. Pramila Jayapal air some feelings about the Biden Administration. #crookedcon2025

Trumps was out here like: If you like your east wing ball room, you can keep it https://t.co/zzWZRp6Hzs
politifact.com
On July 31, President Donald Trump said construction of his new ballroom on the White House grounds “won't interfere with the current building.” It’s not clear whether that was the plan then, and...

In many ways the ballroom was Trump's Obamacare. You take a profound political hit for something you believe to your core. For Obama: health care should be available to everyone. For Trump? The President should be able to throw more sick parties. It takes courage!

Shoutout to Trump for taking the hit so the next Democratic administration can have a functional large-scale event space on campus https://t.co/LJkvW26fr7
It’s actually so funny, and so grim, that it seems like the east wing/ballroom stuff really did it lmao
