It happens due to genetic predispositions making the follicles sensitive to androgens (eunuchs don't bald), interestingly, it provides an example of the connection people make between aesthetics & health, the signal isn't always reliable, but we still perceive it as such.

a lot of romanticizing of “living in community” rn in light of the loneliness epidemic, but not a lot of remembering that community requires allowing other people into your business. We traded community away in part because we valued freedom from the opinions of busybodies.

So essentially, cognitive biases are mental shortcuts to solve recurrent problems efficiently (which is why they're predictable & occur systematically), & their foundational goals are: self-preservation, social standing & risk aversion.

All of those credentials are essentially hard to fake (ideally) signals for different Personality traits & cognitive abilities that are vital for a competent & reliable judge, seeing their IQ & SAT scores, combined with their Big Five breakdown would be much more informative.

Fundamentalism test: every time you're encountering a new article or essay on mainstream media & suspect its objectivity, try replacing words such as: "experts", "the president" or "science" with "god", "the clergy" or "the bible" & see how it affects the meaning of the message.

According to the study, an IQ of around 120, would be enough to create the possibility that the individual will generate the intellectual achievements necessary to receive the nobel prize, which raises a few questions:. • Are current IQ tests missing important aspects of g?.

Not the highest g loaded subtest (in the ballpark of 0.53 - 0.39) but for 2 minutes and going with your first try, it wouldn't be the worst test.
