Had a fantastic time at Lincoln's Ermine Exchange today. Singing carols around the Christmas Tree with mulled wine & mince pies a plenty. This communinty hub is a wonderful addition to the north of the city. A venue that should be celebrated. Thanks to all who made it happen.

Make no mistake, @LincolnCity_FC are where they deserve to be, this Christmas time. A club punching way beyond their financial weight. But playing with a belief & 100% commitment to the cause. These are heady times for all us Imps. Run & coached so professionally these days. 🔴⚪️

35yrs ago Jacqueline & I got married. At a registry office in Lincoln. We still live here. We love the city. Thank you to all the fabulous friends & family who have joined us on this wonderful ride we're having. An early 'Happy Christmas' greeting to you all too. ❤️

Komodo Bar in Lincoln. A great example of the classic English independent music venue. Superb sound system. And the brilliant @kings_bears were their usual, stunning best again last night. Try and support your local venues. Live music in these settings are an absolute joy. ❤️

Digital tickets are the norm now, but @tsExtraTime & @BenAFletcher were reminiscing about hard copy tickets & football magazines. These are my favourite 2 paper ticket stubbs. My first ever gig, @BigCountryUK & the gig @weddingpresent i fell in love with, my now wife of 35yrs.

Really looking forward to seeing this band tonight @LincolnDrill Covering bands as diverse as Joy Division & XTC, but in a style, so far removed from their original recordings. Some great gigs in Lincoln these days.

The first time I saw @Pipblom was 3yrs ago in Sheffield ⬇️. That time has flown by! They are currently writing their 4th album. Amsterdam's finest have become one of my favourite bands. Not afraid to take on new musical sounds, but always producing quality songs.

If you get the opportunity to see this band...take it! It may be the only time you'll get to see them perform, 2025's album of the year. @longflingband

If you go to gigs, can you please think of all the others who are there, and just want to enjoy quality music. In Sheffield last night, I had to move 4 times to avoid the incessant loud talking during @weddingpresent set. It's disrespectful to the band too. Thanks. 🤫🎵🎸

In 1980 I went on a Monks Road School trip to the Lincolnshire Show. Madness was my No1 band, so I saw & bought this keyring. Only just found it again, and thought it would make a great tattoo. Thanks to Body Arts Lincoln for inking such an iconic piece of musical artwork. 👍

And it is brilliant! I'm very jealous of anyone who will get to see this LP played live. Mouse House is (currently) my favourite track. A wonderful noise from @Pipblom & Willem. Definitely the best album released in 2025. Go see them live if you can. I'm sure they'll be amazing.

37ys after seeing @weddingpresent for the 1st time. I will be in Sheffield next week for their 40th anniversary tour. Derby gig was the night I fell in love with a good friend, who I later married in 1990. The band & my wife, still hold a massive place in my heart. 🎵❤️

Got to be one of the greatest tours of all time. What an incredible lineup. And one of the greatest musical photographs, too. 2 Tone. Timeless Quality. 🎵❤️
