We celebrated the King's Coronation in school today by wearing red, white & blue! We had a special Coronation lunch and the children learnt about the Coronation & spent the afternoon doing lots of Coronation themed activities. #Coronation2023 👑@demat @ceo_demat

This morning, Will from Baytree visited the children to talk to them about his career at the garden centre. He gave the children lots of great information and answered lots of their questions. @CEO_DEMAT @DEMAT__

On Wednesday Tawny Owls participated in the #WestNorfolkSSP Carnival themed Dance Festival dancing with 6 other schools in the afternoon performance at the Corn Exchange. Although they were nervous they were great - we are really proud of them!

On Friday the children across the Federation dressed up in red and had crazy hair to raise money for or Red Nose Day. Thank you for all your kind donations we raised an amazing £141.

World Book Day - parents came in with children in the morning to do some reading in the classrooms & the hall. The children made reading dens, designed book covers & bookmarks during the day all while being super comfy in their pj's! 📚#worldbookday2023

Last week, the children in years 5 and 6 were fortunate enough to have a visit from Philip Shipp, a local farmer, who came in to talk to them about his career. We all found out a lot about farming that we didn’t know, and the children had some great questions! @DEMAT__ @CEO_DEMAT

The Diocese of Ely Multi-Academy Trust is looking forward to holding its first-ever careers event in March to showcase the wide variety of roles available across the Trust. The event is open to all and will be held on Thursday 23 March, Lady Chapel at Ely Cathedral from 5-7pm.

Pupils from Guiding and Scouting groups were invited to celebrate World Thinking Day and Founders' Day in school today and wear their uniform to school.

On Thursday, the children in years 3 and 4 were lucky to have Mr Pollard come in to talk about the different jobs that are available within the Environment Agency. Thank you, Mr Pollard 🙂 We are looking forward to finding out about career opportunities in different jobs soon!

Thursday morning our Year 1 & 2 children travelled to LynnSport to take part in WNSSP Active Kids Festival. They spent the morning doing lots of activities which they thoroughly enjoyed @WestnorfolkSSP

We held our Christingle services on Tuesday, Hilgay attended All Saints Church in the morning and Ten Mile Bank had theirs in the school hall in the afternoon due to the recent icy weather. Thank you to all the parents who came along and celebrated and sang with us. 🕯

Our year 5 and 6 children from across the Federation had a great time at the Tag Rugby event yesterday, both teams won 3 games! Well done!

This week in our Sounds Write Phonics programme from reception through to year 6 we have learned the “v” sound which tickled our tongues, the “air” sound, the differences with 'gh' 'g' 'gu' and 'gg' sounds, a sound search to identify alternative spellings for the 'u' sound.
