This is such an unmet need, and a real issue close to many people (my family included). Will be watching this closely, and hope this can be rolled out in New Zealand sometime soon.

Let's go! New Zealand needs to invest in this opportunity - we have the intellectual capital, we need the infrastructure. @drayeshaverrall - is this on the radar?
Yes! ππ We love a government investing in technology that means a more sustainable future built with biology! Maybe our own government here in New Zealand government can follow suit? π https://t.co/lsh8wkYjGw

Great article @tsungxu. Biomaterials are the future!
New article! The last golden age of new materials was so long ago, we rarely think about materials as a driver of technological progress. I make the case that this is changing. https://t.co/c1i0xZMl1I

Humble Bee Bio is using bees to create bioplastics https://t.co/Wm0StDyIuw via @techcrunch. Thanks for crafting the article @RebeccaBellan. We're on a mission. Big kudos to all our research partners and investors for making this happen.

Humble Bee studies a type of solitary bee that doesn't make honey but does make a nesting material for laying larvae in, which has many plastic-like properties.

For using clean, cheap electrons to build the future, I think electrochemistry and synbio will be huge. I knew a little about electrochem startups and trends, but almost nothing about synbio. So I immersed myself at the @BuiltWithBio conference last week. Some takeaways:
