I hear Russell Wilson’s name come out of everybody’s mouth and it’s hardly ever about the game. He brings out insecurities of a lot of men. It’s sick.

I know the way I look to others, yet I KNOW who I am. There's still something that stings when people ask "YOU'RE Black?" when I just told you. It's something I'll never fully get over.

For those asked to collaborate with places of worship, it's sometimes triggering.
A girl was labeled as ‘possessed by the enemy’ after the church asked her what she’s thankful for, and she said her ‘stepmom.’ They refused to accept her answer, and she can be spotted crying while they rebuke her for 10+ minutes.👀

Exactly!
@deaunteee @TheeFlubberBoy Not trying to be mean or anything, but why are Black gays so obsesssed with occupying overly White gay spaces? It’s giving Bob The Drag Queen. Stop being a WMW…

#allherfault was a good watch. However, I can't help but think there were many moments that reminded me of Tyler Perry's writing. Interesting that people will find the show masterfully done, but will bash the shit out of @tylerperry production. Hmmm... Your slip is showing.

I'm only now learning about Juan Gabriel, thanks to the docu-series. What a brave, giving and talented soul. Indeed, legends never die!

Piggly Wiggly trending prompted a timely memory: My mom died when I was 5. One of a few memories of her was wanting to try prunes, but her not being able to afford them. I snuck them in the buggy, and we made our way home walking with brown paper bags. I was nervous every step

Most of my friends were born in another country. I could never repay them for what they've added to my life. This ENTIRE country should feel the same way. No-one is "illegal" in my eyes/heart.

#BootsNetflix triggered so many memories: From boot camp at 17, to the dangerous closeted folk in the workplace, to your everyday homophobe and the insidious homophobia most of us grapple with... Like Prego, it's in there.

I know how hard it is to grow up without a mother. May Ajike Owens' children survive their grief and become the success their mom KNEW awaits them. I hope the entire neighborhood embraces the idea of "the village" coming together for the rest of their lives. #theperfectneighbor

I had such a crush on @MaestroBray when I was a young kat. Today, I find myself learning so much about him for the first time. I hope he's happy wherever he is, and I thank him for sharing his talent.

Away for work, and I realize how much I miss listening to the radio, in particular @radiodelilah. I must slow down.
