Will all the chronically ill poets say hello and be my friend so I don’t have to feel so fucking low about being a chronically ill poet? Thanks in advance :-D

Can anyone think of a paragraph or so from someone with an illness about why they write about their experience of illness? Drawing a blank! 🫠

Y’all know of any poetry venues still offering VIRTUAL events? (open mics, slams, workshops, co-writing spaces, etc.)

This flopped on my personal, so I’ll ask here. I want to submit my gastroparesis themed chapbook to a contest, but want another set of eyes on it first. It’s about 25pgs. Would be willing to read/offer critiques on your work in exchange! #WritingCommunity

pain really fucks with me, threatens to steal wonder & sense of humor. been a rough few days of pain that’s cruelly worse when i try to sleep/rest. been thinking about my relationship to pain over time. curious about any poems, or work across genre, that folks recommend on pain

I wish more poetry books were accessible in ebook. I asked to pay for an ecopy of a disability poetry book this year from the publisher, and the publisher was like 🥰no🥰. Some indie publishers don't make room for accessibility. Big ones do because they want my disabled dollars.
