That's my Speaker @RepMcClinton
In post-Roe America, defending abortion rights has been left up to state leaders. @RepMcClinton joined Symone to discuss her critical work. “It’s very important in Pennsylvania, as the only woman to ever be Speaker of the House, that my colleagues … are protecting women.”

Congratulations!!!
I’m so incredibly honored to have earned the Democratic nomination tonight. It’s been a long road, and to see the tireless work of my campaign team, supporters, and family pay off is humbling. I’m looking forward to November and bringing our city together as its 100th mayor.

Today the state awarded $4.88 million in funding to address violence in Allegheny Co., including the city. These programs are critical to saving lives, and I want congratulate and encourage all of those involved. For a list, follow this link https://t.co/4RUGLUQyZb

Rosa Parks was arrested on this day in 1955 and subsequently became a symbol for the struggle for equality and civil rights in our nation. Please join me in honoring her today, and reflecting on the long struggle for equality, which continues even now. #rosaparksday

Is it just me or do y'all find it ironic that the same folks who fight hard to keep our antiquated tax “uniformity” clause in place are also the same folks who are arguing that the framers didn't want a uniform system of education and educational funding?
“Pennsylvania ranks 45th nationwide in the share of education funding that comes from state coffers. That leaves local school districts to raise a substantial chunk of money on their own; poorer districts, with less taxable wealth, come out behind.”

Happy Birthday Pittsburgh!!!
Today is our 263rd birthday! In a letter dated November 27, 1758, John Forbes informed William Pitt that Fort Duquesne had been abandoned by the French & occupied by the British. He penned details of the previous days & informed Pitt his name had been given to “Pittsbourgh”.
