$24M to JPS - largest amount ever - is worth fighting for. INSPIRE is a student-centered formula that sends our dollars where they are needed the most. A vote for INSPIRE is a vote for our public schools.

If I recall, only one chamber is on record saying they’re okay leaving this session with a “level funded” education budget. Hint: the @MSHouseOfRep is not that chamber. Our “way” is $3.001b in education funding ~record amounts~ by and through a formula that sends the money to

Members of the @MSHouseOfRep joined the @canopychildren team to tour their campuses. It’s simply amazing the work these individuals do to help our youth and to positively change lives. A big thank you to @grgibert for being a long time board member of Canopy. @RepShandaYates

I had the best time helping these #GirlScouts from St. Andrew’s Troop 4417 earn their “democracy badge” this afternoon. The girls had lots of ideas for new laws - including mandatory price ceilings on @taylorswift13 tickets, increasing teacher pay, and eliminating homework.

Bully Bloc supports @RepShandaYates in her bid for re-election in District 64, representing Jackson, Ridgeland, and Madison. Shanda is a tough advocate for her district in the legislature!

This ⁦@AP⁩ article incorrectly states that you cannot vote in tomorrow’s runoff if you didn’t vote in the original primary. This is false. If you did not vote at all in the primary, you may vote in the runoff tomorrow. ⁦⁦@MichaelWatsonMS

His homework was to document something he would deem important as a historian. He’s writing about the #msleg changing the flag. He has smiled SO much seeing my name and the names of so many of his “friends” from the Capitol in that book! #proudmommoment

Proud to have authored this legislation to make sure that customers continue to receive water bills based on the amount of water they use. #msleg #commonsenselegislation

Water bills will continue to be based off of personal consumption. It just makes common sense. I just signed the law to guarantee it.

I’m pleased to introduce legislation today which would extend postpartum coverage for eligible women from 2 to 12 months. Healthy moms = healthy babies. If we care about babies, we must show that we care for and value their moms who are the primary caregivers.

The START Act - the largest teacher pay raise in the history of MS - is headed to the Governor! This $250M investment in our teachers is also an investment in our future. [MS’s starting teacher pay is now above Both the national & southeastern averages] #msleg #forwardprogress

Can’t rape your wife in MS and can’t rape a woman who isn’t a virgin. Unbelievable. Yet we are we are. Still.
