Before the government shut down last month, I joined my Democratic colleagues in signing a letter to House leadership requesting that Congress fully fund Medicaid Disproportionate Share Hospitals. What did the Republicans do? They didn’t just “tighten the budget. They cut

Republicans shut down the government instead of extending ACA tax credits that keep health care affordable. Nearly 100K in our community rely on them — and if they expire, premiums will double. I’m fighting to make them permanent. Share your health care story below.

I’ll continue working with colleagues to oppose reckless changes to the relationship & advance policies that make travel more reliable, talent more mobile, & our economic ties even stronger. NTX is helping lead the future of the U.S.–India relationship & I am proud to champion

We discussed the urgent need to modernize visa policy, support academic and business exchange, & make sure the voices & experiences of Indian-American families in NTX help shape decisions in Washington.

With 71% of U.S. visas issued to Indian nationals, mobility isn’t just a statistic. It’s what keeps families connected, drives innovation, and sustains two of the most dynamic economies in the world. @HouseForeign @NewDemCoalition

We gathered to hear directly from the Indian-American community — the 2nd-largest diaspora in the US — about barriers to travel, talent recruitment, higher education partnerships, & investment.

It was great to meet with Texas Paul to talk about the challenges Texans are facing — and the importance of standing together for honesty, accountability, and progress. Conversations like these remind me how strong our Texas values really are.

The government remains shut down because @SpeakerJohnson refuses to bring Republicans back to work to lower health care costs and reopen the government. Republicans must bring up a bill that Democrats can vote for. Otherwise, I won't vote for their crappy bill.

Republicans control the House, the Senate, and the White House. Yes, Trump, his administration, and Republicans in Congress are failing the American people.

Trump’s disastrous trade war has hurt farmers, destroyed jobs, & driven up prices. Now, his “deal” gets us soybeans & one year of minerals while China gets our advanced AI chips. Trump’s concessions to Xi show weakness—not American leadership.

By withholding soybean purchases and rare-earth exports, China extracted relief from U.S. tariffs and delayed export controls, without conceding much in return.

On November 1, Americans will not only see their health care costs skyrocket, but millions of families will be unable to put food on their tables. Republicans have the power to prevent this, but simply refuse to.
