The bill also included funding to rebuild the lodge on Hurricane Ridge - so important to the Olympic Peninsula!

My final vote. To my constituents - it’s been an honor to represent you. Thank you for letting me work on your behalf. Having come into Congress in 2013 during a costly government shutdown, it feels only fitting that my final vote was to avert a shutdown.

New Dems urge the passage of @RepDerekKilmer's Yes In My Backyard (YIMBY) Act when the House votes on it this week. We need to build more homes in America, and the YIMBY Act is one of the best tools Congress can utilize to do just that.

On Native American Heritage Day, we honor the First Americans, including the 12 tribes that have called our region home since time immemorial. Join me in celebrating the history and culture of PNW tribes and recommitting to work with our tribal partners to create a better future!

Happy Thanksgiving! I hope everyone has the opportunity to enjoy the day with friends and family. I'm thankful for so much - especially for the opportunity to represent you. I was born and raised right here in the district, and it's been an extraordinary honor to do this work.

A storm is headed our way! High winds and hazardous conditions are likely across the region, with heavy snowfall possible in the Olympics. Make sure to get prepared now, and stay weather alert!
⚠️ An anomalously strong storm system will generate strong easterly winds across western Washington later today into early Wednesday morning. Be sure to: 🍃 Secure loose outdoor items. 🌲 Stay clear of trees and downed power lines. 🕯️ Prepare for power outages. #WAwx

3 years ago today, @POTUS signed into law the Bipartisan Infrastructure Law. I was proud to support tis legislation - which is the largest long-term investment in America’s infrastructure and competitiveness in nearly a century. It's already delivering for our region and WA state

We have an obligation to protect salmon in the Pacific Northwest in order to honor the federal government’s trust and treaty responsibilities to Tribes in the region. I am excited that the EPA is moving forward with this rulemaking as an important step toward salmon recovery

We've got to learn more. How it gets into our waterways, how they impact our environment and our health, and how we can get these chemicals out of local ecosystems.

Toxic stormwater runoff is one of the biggest threats facing Puget Sound salmon recovery. Grateful that @EPA has been responsive to the petition filed by Tribes from across our region who are helping to lead the effort to better understand 6PPD & 6PPD-Q https://t.co/RiXxMEkDkb

For years, the bipartisan @ModernizeCmte worked to overhaul the onboarding process to better support new Members during a critical transition period & help ensure continuity for their constituents. Great to see so many recommendations making a difference!

Every veteran should have a home and it shouldn’t be under a freeway overpass. And if you fought for this country, you shouldn’t have to fight for a job. On this day, and all days, let’s recommit ourselves to the notion that if you’ve served this country, we should have your back

Our community is stronger and our country is safer because of all those who served. Today is not only a day to say “thank you” - though we should. It’s also a day to back up those words with action. All veterans should get the health care and benefits they’ve earned - and deserve

Grateful to the team from @MDAorg for taking the time recently to visit with me in Washington, DC - we had a great discussion about the policies that impact folks with neuromuscular diseases and how Congress can help. Count me on the home team!
