I helped pack Thanksgiving dinners at Meals on Wheels of NEPA with Dept. of Aging Secretary Jason Kavulich and a host of volunteers. With food insecurity on the rise, a warm meal and friendly face can make a real difference for elderly & homebound neighbors in our community.

Thousands of people in our community have lost SNAP benefits due to needless dysfunction in Washington D.C. Yesterday, I joined @GovernorShaprio at the Weinberg Food Bank to help pack boxes and promote the heroic work of area food banks to meet increasing needs.

When an allergic reaction occurs and time is of the essence, an EpiPen can save lives. After hearing Elijah's tragic story, I'm proud that my bill to ensure day care facilities have EpiPens and that staff are trained to use them passed the #PAHouse.

Medical debt can crush a family and lead to dangerous delays in seeking care. Thankfully, the #PAHouse passed the Pennsylvania Medical Debt Repayment Program that would better inform patients on healthcare costs and financial assistance available to them.

School nurses are vital to the health of our children. In our schools in Pennsylvania, there is generally only ONE school nurse for every 1500 students. I was proud to stand with these heroes to make sure we address staffing shortages and immunization requirements for students.

Healthcare workers deserve a safe workplace free from harm. After years of hard work, we're celebrating a win with #PAHouse passage of a bill to provide more tools and training to prevent violent attacks in the workplace.

I stood with some real heroes and champions at the Capitol to fight for a safer working environment for our healthcare providers.

Today, I visited St. Clare St. Paul to celebrate their 8th grade boys basketball team. They became the 2024-2025 Catholic Youth Organization State Champion defeating Our Lady of Peace from Erie. They even gave me a chance to show off my skills.... and the crowd goes wild !! 📣 🏀

When my son was diagnosed with childhood leukemia, the last thing I wanted to worry about was the stress of medical costs. No family should ever need to think twice before seeking care for fear of going into medical debt. Learn more: https://t.co/rpHOaOdqvq

More than $9.3 million came back to our community in the form of state funding in what is truly a reinvestment into those who live in Lackawanna County, providing funding to our local school districts, communities, and social service organizations.
