My Democratic colleagues in the House and I are calling on the PA Public Utility Commission and utility providers to ensure that no one has their gas or electric shut off during the government shutdown. No one should be left in the cold due to political gridlock

We're dealing with a federal government shutdown, SNAP crisis...and energy assistance is next? Ask yourself who's in charge and if this is what we want for the future https://t.co/TVAuZ4qxVB

Pennsylvania is among the many states that say they are at risk of not being able to provide the annual assistance many people depend upon as winter approaches.

The federal government has the money to keep people fed, but instead the administration is playing games with people's lives. Meanwhile @GovernorShapiro is making sure that families and food banks don't shoulder the burden alone https://t.co/o6yuyePT9r

🚨BREAKING: China has an underwater jellyfish "ghost" drone, controlled by AI, that can spy without being detected, according to Chinese state media. This comes a week after news of "thousands" of unidentified submerged objects (USOs) lurking off America's coasts.

Critics of AI are not against the technology, we are just highly suspicious of what all the worst people in our society (who control the tech) plan to do with so much power.
Well that’s one way to make the Dem-tech break permanent. Being anti-AI as a concept (rather than sharing its bounty with the society or regulating it) might be a good short term political approach but also probably leads towards regional party status over 10-15 years.

Is anti-AI socialism the future of the Democratic Party? Top Mamdani adviser Morris Katz told me that at a time of "historic income inequality and social upheaval, every candidate should be embracing an aggressive vision" on AI. "Whichever candidates and party are able to

This climate is ripe for an anti-AI socialist to emerge as a counter to Trump.

In the last 72 hours, I’ve: → Sued the Trump Administration to force them to drive out SNAP benefits – and won. → Signed a disaster declaration to immediately flex $5 million in state dollars directly to PA food banks. → Raised an initial $1 million for our SNAP Emergency

I applaud @GovernorShapiro's swift action to address the oncoming hunger crisis in PA.
Pennsylvania Gov. Josh Shapiro has signed a declaration of disaster emergency ahead of a Saturday deadline that would freeze Supplemental Nutrition Assistance Program (SNAP) benefits until a federal budget is passed.

Nearly 2 million Pennsylvanians, including 700k kids & 700k older adults, are about to lose SNAP benefits. I’m proud to co-sponsor legislation to keep food on the table by ensuring PA can step in and continue these payments. Families can’t wait!

Really interesting article on the old Greyhound bus terminal which is about to be renovated and managed by PPA. Establishing a stable new home for intercity buses with proper shelter and amenities is an important move in the right direction

The Philadelphia Parking Authority will renovate the former intercity bus terminal and run it on behalf of the city government.

the questioner says about Jews: "their religion openly supports the prosecution of ours." And Vance completely let's it go. Why? Because politicians who embrace anti-Muslim bigotry for political gain will also embrace anti-Jewish bigotry for political gain. The Jewish right is
Insane anti-Israel question, full of propaganda, was posed to JD Vance — and responded by adding his own fuel to the fire. Absolute dumpster fire. But now I understand why he’s such good friends with Tucker Carlson and why Tucker’s son works for JD. https://t.co/cqt7K8oCvH
