North Carolina now has a fellowship in Behavioral Neurology & Neuropsychiatry (#BNNP, I'm going to eventually make this a hashtag that catches on...). I'm really excited about this program. I believe *strongly* that a broad-based eduction in our fellowship is beneficial. 1/n

And for those of you who’ve never heard me speak, yes I know I have an accent, and no, I don’t know why the D in FTD sounds like it has two syllables when I say it 😂

Really had a great time talking to ⁦@sducharme66⁩ and (I think!) twitterless/xless Tristen Best about their work in genetic FTD and sleep disturbances.

Everything is changing in neurology. Everywhere. All the time. The landscape of dementia has been particularly dynamic, in ways that matter to patients, families, and clinicians So why did we create this issue on Dementia, just 2 years after our last one?

I don’t know if this will help anyone but if you’re not going to bsky because you want ideological diversity there’s still really terrible people there to it’s just easier to tell them to stfu and block and they stay stfu’d

Seeing the huge momentum on the Blue site is exciting. Many of you have started following me there. I’m gratified for that. If you haven’t prepared to make the switch yet, please consider doing so. You’ll find a much friendlier, cleaner, unobtrusive environment over there.

Not deactivating yet but plan to uninstall and use Bluesky for a bit in the coming days. It is becoming harder to justify remaining.

1/ Years ago, it was baffling to me. Sometimes I'd write a #tweetorial that I *loved*, and it would get just "meh" engagement. Others, I'd be like, "well this is ok," and it would be super-shared. WHY?? A #tweetorial about making a great #tweetorial https://t.co/5d8rp65mCR

On one hand, this hell site is owned by a fascist. On the other hand, watching this person self-own for 24 hours straight is entertainment you just can’t get anywhere else

Don’t lie!! Do you just say a lesion is in the white matter & move on? Do you just corona radiata or centrum semiovale & hope no one asks questions? That’s like saying a fracture is in “the leg” & moving on! Just like cortical regions have function, so does the white matter!

This may be obvious to some but I'm now convinced: fierce competition for grants and papers is leading to low societal ROI (return on investment). Why, when competition should mean only the best-formulated and executed work is accepted for funding and high-profile publication?
