@chipzel At E3 2015, I approached Bethesda's Todd Howard to tell him about this amazing Skyrim mod he should look into, in the hopes they might hire its creator. Intrigued, he asked me what it was called. "Interesting NPCs," I smiled. He looked at me, absolutely crushed, and walked away.

In that case, might I present to you: Centaurworld, a portal fantasy into a bright, colourful world, starring a warhorse from a war torn kingdom.

Wtf? I just noticed TwiX changed my bio's watergun emoji to an actual gun. I thought I was crazy until I looked at my 🦋 account, where I cut/pasted it months ago

This isn’t about someone’s first language. It’s about basic readability. If you choose to write in a language, people are allowed to expect you to understand its rules well enough to communicate clearly. That’s not xenophobia. It’s the baseline for being understood.

saying “you need to learn the rules of the language you are writing in” to people whose first language isn’t english (but chose it for their hobby) makes you sound like a “we’re in america, use proper english” karen btw

Woke up and realized it’s a lovely day to crash out about how authors are expected to be so performative nowadays and I wish I was born when writers just smoked and drank all day and were comfortably mentally ill and didn’t have to be jesters on social media

Just told my Gen Z roommate the first episode of the new Young Sherlock was intriguing, because they're exploring a blossoming friendship between him and his future archnemesis, Moriarty. He looked at me and said, "Who?" 😭

One of the sad things about watching press from influencers is an actor will give a response referencing some older media and the influencer just has so little context they can’t meaningfully engage with the answer. I see why actors are exhausted by this. Theyre talking to a wall

In America, men display dominance over each other by taking bigger bites of a burger. This is known as burgermogging

Me, tightening a sentence in a perfectly legitimate way. MS Word: "Does not compute."

Cut every “very,” “just,” “really,” and “that.” Okay, maybe not all but most. Your sentences get stronger instantly.

[Japanese manga writer trying to write Americans] “The CEOs would perhaps…..compete over who could take the manliest bite of the burger? No, that’s ridiculous, surely America cannot be like that.”

So, my theory is, similar to Hodor, Bran tried to manipulate the Mad King into warning people and like Hodor, he got stuck on loop

‼️Spread the word!‼️ A fake literary agent just tried to follow me, and it looks like they've fooled a number of those in the #WritingCommunity. Good reminder to always do your research on an agent before submitting your precious writing to them. Stay safe out there, everyone.
