Huge thanks to all staff, particularly our Neighbourhoods, Highways and Tree teams who braved the worst of Storm Darragh to keep the borough safe. And thanks to residents who helped others during the winds and rain. Work continues today to clear the damage caused by the storm.

However, it is possible that it may not be clear by tomorrow morning and parents should be aware that they may need to find an alternative route for their children to go to school.

We have reports of trees coming down in cemeteries across the borough and we would ask the public to please refrain from entering cemeteries while the storm continues as some works to make them safe won’t be able to be completed until tomorrow.
