The Live Well Centre will be hosting a drop in Covid-19 vaccine clinic tomorrow (Wednesday 8 October) between 10am - 4pm. Adults over 75 or anyone aged 6 months+ who has a weakened immune system because of a health condition can get a vaccine. No appointment needed.

People aged 40 - 74 can get a free healthy heart check in Middlesbrough town centre tomorrow. The NHS Melissa bus will be parked opposite the former House of Fraser building between 10am - 2pm. Everyone can get: ✔️ a cholesterol screening ✔️ a diabetes test ✔️ key advice

Improvements include a new children’s library with play areas and family facilities, a new ICT suite has been developed and flexible public event spaces. The beautiful original features in the reference library and across the building have also been maintained and refreshed.

The striking building – opened in 1912 with funding from American philanthropist Andrew Carnegie – is a key part of the town’s cultural offer. The £1.9m project, funded by the Arts Council, the Future High Streets Fund and Middlesbrough Council.
