With the current transformative potential of generative AI, why should we wait to conduct a post-mortem analysis on its effects on education ten years from now? https://t.co/WJ2n7N2f9b

Today, there are 1 billion children and adults around the globe that do not have access to the assistive products they need to fully share their gifts with the world. Thank you to everyone who helps young people who are categorized as neurodivergent!

This Task Force is exploring two scenarios and I would love to hear some of your thoughts on what would need to happen for either headline to become true

Has anyone had to deal with mental health challenges with their kids? Such a big issue for so many families. A bigger discussion than when I was a kid. Perhaps the world is harder or maybe simply the stigma of seeking mental health support is diminishing What do you guys think?

Everywhere I look, I see heartbreaking violence. In the US, shooting school kids and teachers, bomb threats to schools in Ohio based on lies about immigrants, political assassination attempts...tragedy in the middle east and sudan...ongoing war in Ukraine. Bring back #Peace

Today we honor the memory of all those we lost on September 11, 2001. May we never forget their stories – and the bravery of our first responders and troops who sacrificed so much.

Today I have been thinking hard about AI and the ways it could help tackle problems in education OR the ways it could totally exacerbate the problems education faces and likely create new issues we haven’t thought about. Hmmmm…..

Lots of US schools catching up to other parts of the world by banning phones. Thanks @JonHaidt for lifting up what child development experts been saying for years. Tech is fine but too often in classrooms not integrated and makes social skill development worse.

Makes you almost think this is something educators have wanted for a long time but needed permission to actually do.

Been thinking a lot these days on what AI holds for us as parents, educators, citizens. Only one thing I feel I know for sure: Gen AI puts the last nail in the coffin of banking education. Compliance oriented systems of learning will not prepare kids well. @dsengeh @Cee_Bah
