A friend of mine just published his first book on Amazon. In the 16 years I've known him, not once has he shown any interest in writing, so this was quite unexpected. Disappointingly and to no surprise, the whole damn thing has been written using generative AI.

Wow. USA Today covered two authors who used AI and ACCIDENTALLY left the prompts IN THE PUBLISHED BOOK! 😬😬 But I think the story is also about how the industry puts pressure on writers, esp for genre novels, to churn stuff out too fast.
