SIRĀT is a wild experience. Starts off as a meditative examination of a father & son bonding with rave-obsessed nomads, but then quickly transforms into a bleak and heart-pounding thriller. One moment put me on the floor. Also one of the best shot films of the year.

Already one of the best filmmakers working today and somehow he continues to find ways to be elevate his game
Paul Thomas Anderson does something incredible with Hall in “One Battle After Another”, an actor with one of the fastest mouths in Hollywood. He focuses on her eyes. Hall has these incredible expressive, emotive eyes and so many of Deandra’s moments are just her watching.

Counterpoint here is that nobody is acting like Get Out "invented prestige & mainstream horror." It's more that there was a clear shift in the genre in the wake of Get Out. Which there was! It's undeniable and it's just the reality. Inventor? No. Game changer? Absolutely.
I’m so tired of this prevailing attitude that Get Out invented prestige and mainstream horror films. Even Jordan Peele would scoff at this.
