I remember when @azizkag and I were freshman talking about how someday we'd do something significant enough to be on the front of MIT's website :'). We recently hit a big milestone: our community on @Tarjimly has translated over 1 MILLION words for displaced people!.
To help refugees, Aziz Alghunaim ’15, MEng ’15 and Atif Javed ’15 created @Tarjimly, whose 15,000 volunteer translators speak 120 languages. The app takes an average of two minutes to connect an aid worker in any corner of the world to a translator.
