I used to get excited about setting up a new pc. Now I just feel weary at the thought of all the bloody questions I will have to answer before I can get started.

Here's what looks like an interesting project that is in need of a little more support. @Kickstarter

Sad to hear about the passing of Steve Wright. He was very much part of my childhood, not as a star whom I venerated, more like the wallpaper, which was always there and which I took for granted as an ever-present background.

I'm opening a debate in the Commons shortly demanding an end to the fossil fuel industry's influence on our politics. I'm calling for - a firewall between the industry & policy making - no fossil fuel money in politics - no more public subsidies for fossil fuels @friends_earth

This is turning into a bonfire of public money. £2.5 billion to fund sketchy carbon capture tech at a power station that burns trees - not any old trees, but pristine Canadian forests. We already give £800m to Drax annually to support its tree burning.

So deeply depressing - & frankly terrifying - that as many as 68 Tory MPs just voted to make shameful #Rwanda Bill even more shameful by supporting amendment which would explicitly disapply *any* international law that might stop removals. This is seriously dangerous territory

Isn't it obvious that these strikes should have been debated in parliament before being executed?

After the effect of 'Mr Bates vs the Post Office', let’s hope Toby Jones is also working on new TV dramas about water pollution, climate change, covid, PPE contracts, the refugee crisis, the cost of living, energy prices, and the NHS

A message to all the Tories ahead of the Commons Vote on new oil & gas licenses. There’s no use being loyal to a leader who won’t be at the helm very soon. If you still have a conscience, or any idea about the #ClimateCrisis, do the right thing today. Be on the right side of

Good for Alok Sharma for spelling out what was obvious to anyone who gave it any serious thought: the government's public justification for these new licences is complete bullshit. https://t.co/NlaCYe2UpP

Rosie Jones was excellent in tonight's Call the Midwife. Who knew she was such a good dramatic actress?
