For some SEOs, traffic is life's blood. For me and my team, we measure success by enrollment. Butts in seats are what matters to us, so we are looking for new ways to engage prospective students.

If you're an SEO helping one of those businesses, test things and have an open mind.

Burying your head in the sand is not an effective way to deal with a rapidly evolving industry. The amount of vitriol from noticing crawl behavior is something, but it is to be expected. The loss in revenue for some business will be staggering if their traffic dries up.

My thoughts around LLMs.txt are simple, we don't know if this will become a standard. But data is showing them crawling this file, which indicates that they're at least looking at it frequently. That frequency can change.
