Hi @debbiechapman1, we've heard that you're a strong advocate for election reform in Waterloo Region. Thanks for your work! Hopefully you can help bring ranked ballots to Kitchener. :)

Strong self-government is only achieved when we're looking for ways to make our democracy stronger. Waterloo can be one of Canada's leaders in maintaining a strong democracy. That's what we're all about.

We support improving elections in every way possible, not just the underlying system. Paper ballots are the only option which provide the confidence our elections need.

Election reform is on the march. More municipalities will use ranked ballots in 2022 than did in 2018, and that's good for democracy in Canada. https://t.co/YIBEeTlKKT

In the first-ever ranked ballot election in Ontario, the new system didn’t have a dramatic effect on the results. But something did change, writes Edward Keenan.

Pleased to read that @YesCambridge is continuing the push for ranked ballots in Cambridge. We need to see ranked ballots in all 7 municipal and Regional elections in 2020. It is positive electoral reform. Increase diversity. Winner receives 50+1% of votes. #rankedballot2020
