🙈🔉 new preprint 🔉🙈. We used single neurons, populations, and computational modeling to find that subcortical spiking activity and a temporal integration model accounted for primate sound envelope discrimination. (1/3).

We hope these data will lay the groundwork for future studies investigating the effects of subclinical pathologies and contribute to the development of an improved audiologic test battery for differentially diagnosing auditory disorders.

Check out our new paper in Hearing Research, which, to our knowledge, is the first single reference with a comprehensive normative characterization of clinically traditional and clinically novel metrics and stimuli in DPOAEs and ABRs in a young cohort of 36 male macaque monkeys.

On 5/9/22, I defended my dissertation! 👂🧠🐒 It was surreal to reach this culminating step in my graduate education, and to have so many colleagues, friends, and family in attendance. Next I’m headed to Johns Hopkins for my postdoc with the Glowatzki and @LauerLab! #audphd
