Even now when she calls, they say there's nothing they can do, they have to wait for the people in the back office. No way to talk to them directly. Of course we could submit a complaint via the online form - and they promise to get back to us within 30 days... 6/6

12 DAYS LATER (that's 288hrs if you're counting, and I am) and they still haven't sorted it. Now the flight (and gig) are a week away, and they're promising to DEFINITELY get back within 48hrs. In the interim, she's told several times it will be sorted within a day or two. 5/6

Now she's trying to book with @British_Airways. The only way to book a cello seat is on the phone, and even then they have to feed it through the back office. They can't do anything there and then. So you call, they take details, and promise to get back to you within 72hrs. 4/6

When they finally got back to her, the phone call got cut off. They didn't bother to call back. It wasn't resolved until the day before the flight. She didn't have 2 seats together on any of her 4 flights, leading to anxiety at gates as they tried to fix THEIR PROBLEM. 3/6

@TurkishAirlines cancelled her flight a week before, and then oversold the replacement so she didn't have a seat. In trying to sort it out the agent booked her 24hrs too early (taking off during a concert), and then couldn't fix it. 2/6

I can't believe what @CeciliaBignall has to go through when flying with her cello. The actual journey is stressful enough, but I've been witness to some AWFUL customer service recently, specifically from @British_Airways and @TurkishAirlines. cc. @WeAreTheMU 1/6
