YES. In my undergrad thesis many many years ago, I included lurkers (folks who don't interact much, not even to leave a comment at times, but read fic or look at fanart, edits/fanvids, etc.) because fandom has long seen lurkers as key members of the community. In fandom, you
do not bring a capitalist mentality to fandom spaces guys. let your fave artists/writers/editors/etc know you love and value their work but do not feel lesser than for “not contributing”. never lose your whimsy

Just in case anyone isn't aware, yes, Twitch is 100% messing with your CCV. Using the enhancer extension can give you a bit better of an idea by telling you how many people are connected to the stream, but that's not a perfect metric either.

I feel like a lotta vtubers have been paranoid about vtuber corpos recently Take it from someone who's been in more than 1 They are NEVER perfect. You WILL be unhappy sometimes. Always know what you want/need from a corpo before applying and ask those questions

Whenever a makers auction goes sky high I get /so jazzed/ because not only does a colleague get that huge paycheck /especially right now/ but it makes me think that one day a huge result like that can happen to me if I keep working hard!
You know fursuit auctions are auctions? Right? Where people willingly bid the amount they want to pay for a product? A fursuit maker isn’t holding anyone hostage and forcing them to spend that much….you know that right? Let’s celebrate artists making that much for once plz

Recently, I started explaining to my viewers that donations are better than gifted subs. If your goal is to get rid of ads and have access to emotes, go for subs! Enjoy your time there! But if your goal is solely to help me financially, then I highly recommend using donations
as a streamer, i hate this. here’s why: 1. i would be terrified that they couldn’t actually afford this. they could put themselves in a horrible position. 2. OR they can’t afford and CHARGEBACK, which Twitch does NOT help with and could potentially put you into debt. 3.
