Being proud and appreciative of the opportunity but knowing and owning the fact that I have every right to be there. I am grateful though, and determined to continue positioning myself in places where young black girls can see and know that this too is possible for them.

As I reflect and do my final preparations for my presentation tomorrow, I feel the weight of the significance of me being where I am. It’s a weight I’ve learnt to bear. There are mental battles that I have to win to be able to stand tall in the spaces I occupy.

Some very interesting studies around the MC and/or hormonal OC’s. Take away seems to be a drive towards methodological rigour and care required when presenting findings, especially when “no difference” is observed and the phases of the cycle are vaguely identified #ECSS2024
