I think the reason most of us are currently struggling is because of how fast the complexity of vtuber models raised.
I've been thinking about this a lot, back in 2020 I was making way more than I do now, and was able to rig a full body model in just a few days, much cheaper--
295 voted "i'm ok", 2236 voted "i'm struggling". 88% Vtuber model creators do not have a sustainable career in 2024. What are the root problems? How do you think things should be? "Raise price" sounds like a straight foward answer, but, does it actually help the 88%?

100 years later... here's my first attempt at vbridger rigging. RTX tracking is a little wonky, so I guess I won't be digging deeper into this until I get an iphone (which won't be soon) But I'm glad I tried because it gave me ideas to make my base rigs more expressive now 😊✨

Stop it, it's animation, it's cartoony, bones can me plastic if you want, or not, is up to you, that's the magic of it all. Just like the tv cartoons do things like this

Most of us riggers and artist are perfectionist. I didn't plan to offer a quality tier (until now, since I need to pay bills) because it is hard put out there something that's not your absolute best. But I guess it's a change we'll have to consider and normalize

Ok so this is what I did. You need to balance the effect influence on both outputs, and consider the priority level for each group (Made the y physics higher priority) this sacrifices a bit of range of motion, but it saves tons of time in exchange?

Setting a limit for the parameters the model will have, or how many pendulums for the physics, how wide the x angle... So a much "simpler" model will have an affordable price while the "detailed complex ones" will be part of a premium tier, meaning premium prices.
