When Ben says “I would be an ally, but people are so meeeeean,” he really means that he values his own comfort over the lives of vulnerable people, but knows that’s he’s wrong so he’s trying to make his hateful behavior their fault.

As “you’re an asshole because you didn’t already know that my kid uses they/them pronouns,” even when nothing of that sort was said. Faced with something new, they’d rather pretend their discomfort someone else’s fault, not the result of own mental rigidity. And yes, bigotry. 2/

This seems like bullshit to me. What I have seen, constantly and repeatedly, is bigots pretending that the mere mention of something they don’t like is oppressive. So they receive an innocuous sentence like “my kid uses they/them pronouns” 1/

Why are trump supporters getting so mad that we say that we hope everything that they voted for happens to them? Why is that a threat? YOU VOTED FOR IT WHY ARE YOU MAD? I hope everything that you voted for happens to you PERSONALLY. Why you mad boo?

Chin up, team. Take some time. Take care of yourself. Take care of your loved ones. Take care of your community. There are a million ways to make a difference—get back in the fight when you’re ready. And know that, whenever you are ready, I’ll be ready to get back in with you.

Fun fact: a majority of North Carolinians voted for Democrats in both the State House (51.1%) and State Senate (50.1%). Despite that, Republicans have held their supermajority in the Senate, and are 1 seat away from one in the House. #ncpol

If I’m reading this correctly, even after the legislature ended income limits on vouchers and allowed people to take them who’ve never enrolled in a public school, NC families don’t want vouchers.
Following a historic expansion of school choice funding in North Carolina, 15,805 new scholarships were offered to students. But data indicates that the number of scholarships disbursed has increased by just 4,594. #nced

I have been asked on two different networks and by two different male hosts today whether abortion rights are as important to women as the economy. I can't say it more clearly: reproductive freedom is economic freedom. They are intrinsically intwined, as every woman knows.

N.C. A&T Students Carefully Planned a Candidate Forum. Then Mark Robinson Crashed. The GOP gubernatorial candidate contacted student organizers on the day of the event to let them know he was coming—whether they wanted him there or not. https://t.co/o0nx3SW2av

That time when @HalWeathermanNC, the MAGA creep running to replace @markrobinsonNC as NC Lt. Governor, whined about the @WakeForest rape prevention program and said rapes occur when women are “teases.” 😳 Hal’s a lot like Mark. Vote @HuntforNC for LG. #ncpol

The CHIPS Act has invested $750MM in NC's economy, more than any other swing state except AZ and TX. Every member of the @NCGOP delegation voted against those jobs, including @danbishopnc, @TedBuddNC and @RepHudsonNC. If they keep the majority they'll repeal it. #ncpol
BREAKING: I asked @SpeakerJohnson if he’ll try to repeal the CHIPS Act if Trump wins and they have control of Congress. “I expect that we probably will.” @RepWilliams responds: “I will remind him night and day how important the CHIPS Act is.” #NY22

When it comes to making a difference, don't stop at the top of the ticket. Local issues like school boards, city and state leaders, and ballot initiatives need your voice too. See what's on your ballot at https://t.co/LpOTbstRoC

I cannot imagine ever going into a store and harassing someone for wearing religious garb (of any type!). This is deeply antisocial behavior by Michele’s buddy.

Donald Trump, Michele Morrow and Mark Robinson endorse violence against the government and their political enemies. This is who they are. These are their words. Believe them. Vote for Kamala Harris, Maurice "Mo" Green and Josh Stein. They are the leaders we need and deserve.

Culture wars are costing our schools billions in funds diverted away from services that help students. Can we get back to a calm focus on what actually helps students?! #nced #ncpublicschools #ncpol

New research says divisive debates over race, gender and sexual orientation have diverted billions of dollars and driven educators from their jobs.

While most of the NC GOP is going through contortions to not mention Black Nazi Mark Robinson, Republican candidate to run our schools Michelle Morrow just can't get enough of him (and this line up of other far right candidates).
