Yesterday was a great day for over 100 soldiers from 2 Sig Regt who paraded through York to celebrate their freedom of the city. Not only were they cheered on by the crowds, but our Colonel-in-Chief, HRH The Princess Royal took the salute.

1944, Cpl Waters volunteered to bring in a wounded comrade from an exposed position in the face of enemy fire. Without thought for his own safety, he went forward and brought in the wounded man then continued his duty under constant enemy sniping and small arms fire.

so we want to celebrate one of our true Corps legends! Clive Sullivan MBE, a member of 216 (Para) Sig Sqn and captain of the GB rugby league team 🏉 in ‘72, the first black player to lead any British international team in a major sport.

Cpl Steven Dunn was a member of 216 (Para) Sig Sqn who was killed in action in Afghanistan in Dec 10. Every year, the unit runs a military skills competition in his honour, and this year’s winner was Signaller Mitch Holmes. Watch 👀 the video to get a flavour of the day!!👇👇
