We’ve developed a backdoor method for high-entropy nanocrystals at low temperatures! The colloidal synthesis leverages the esterification reaction, where the acidity of the metal (which is selectable) determines reaction rate.

I altered my lecture this morning to give a Nobel background leaning heavily on the Bell Labs work from Brus and Steigerwald, Alivisatos, and Bawendi. Then to Murray and Norris and beyond. (I was lucky enough to work a summer at Bell Labs and am on a couple papers with Brus!)
