Just last week I was telling clinicians who just submitted their first manuscript to a journal that it can be a long wait with no guaranteed outcome. Then this example. Feeling for my fellow co-authors and lead author @DanielleHitch
Just receive from journal that took 12 months for first review. "Beautifully written, well embedded in relevant literature. Some findings (but not all) confirm existing research, so not entirely novel. Reject. Hope this doesn't put you off submitting to us again"

I have enormous respect for the #alliedhealthassistant workforce. When I returned to Australia I worked as an interdisciplinary AHA - findings from @oliviaaking and team resonate
Allied health assistants are important members of healthcare teams - what are their perspectives on their role in healthcare settings? Check out our qualitative study with 21 AHAs @DavidASnowdon1 @CyliePaedspod @DrAmyDennett Jo-Anne Pinson & Annette Davis

A first for me today - talking on radio about the importance of including the voice of Victorian families from regional and rural areas in cohort studies. Had my cuppa on hand to help with the radio voice nerves. Thanks 3YB radio for the invitation to talk about @GenV_for_kids

Love being part of this work on health, development and wellbeing of children and parents, especially the focus on including rural and regional Victorian families.
We recently launched at the Western District Health Service in Hamilton and the @TheSpec spoke to the first local family to take part. Parent Elle Moyle was the first local resident to sign up to GenV and said she was more than happy to contribute to the research.
