All these stories youre sharing are compiled from a whole bunch of different nurses, right? Because nowhere can possible be THIS bananas in SO MANY DIFFERENT ways on such a frequent basis.

Why is the hospital so full in August? I absolutely fear this upcoming December and January! I keep hearing how bad it’s going to get.

Literally! My hospital just took our incentive pay away but yet we are still short staffed 🙄

as a former Sup. That was always a hard no for me. If I had to beg staff, and I did. They got paid. I got in trouble but they got paid.

My small community hospital is STRUGGLING with staffing on floor and our tiny ICU. Often have delays in admit due to staffing, or have to transfer. ER is doing ok thankfully for me. But same, the $6/hr “incentive” hasnt gone up since 2008 (when it was halved from $12).
