Wonderful night of 🎳 supporting the @NatPancFdn and bonding with the @NMGastro, surgery, IR, and oncology @NorthwesternMed teams working towards improving the care of patients with pancreas disease.

We report outcomes of effort to improve acute pancreatitis care in our large @NorthwesternMed healthcare system. In short, despite comprehensive effort, we could only minimally improve adherence to quality metrics. Not easy to move the needle on quality!

Excited to support superstar former fellow @AlmuhaidbAymen and his great team at KFSH in Riyadh for this hybrid in-person and virtual endoscopy course in conjunction with @NMGastro. Still time to register for this Dec 7-8 course.

Congrats to superstar @NMGastro interventional endoscopy fellow (& former GI fellow) @JonXiaMD on groundbreaking research published on the development of an engineered probiotic to detect IBD. We (@gastrowala, @Scopesdoc, @JRassiwala & I) are very proud!

What a course - will be amazing to see old fellows doing amazing things as well as esteemed colleagues from the Chicago area for the fellows course. However, I am nervous that Aziz and Jasmine have a 20 minute welcome though. I am expecting an interpretive dance or improv.
