A great interview w. @peterpomeranzev on his new book. "You've got to work with people's sense of agency, their sense that they can change something themselves & that they don't need these strongmen leaders to lead them through a dark & complicated world." https://t.co/AzrNaMHhPA

Tools and technologies have always shaped our ways of seeing and making sense of the world. These tools can become so habitual that we stop noticing how they organize our vision and our conceptualizations.
4/4 how AI ´sees´ the past will then start to influence, if not dominate, how we see the past. Think Romantic-era paintings (or hollywood movies) of knights and ladies on steroids. Our collective memories will increasingly get used/expect to imagine the past through AI´s eyes

We need to alert students to both historical and contemporary examples of how these actors target the insula of their audiences so that they can recognize it the next time it is happening and can say: "Hands off my insula, buddy." 6/6
