A great interview w. @peterpomeranzev on his new book. "You've got to work with people's sense of agency, their sense that they can change something themselves & that they don't need these strongmen leaders to lead them through a dark & complicated world." https://t.co/AzrNaMHhPA

Tools and technologies have always shaped our ways of seeing and making sense of the world. These tools can become so habitual that we stop noticing how they organize our vision and our conceptualizations.

The insula is highly receptive to signals of disgust from both direct sensory input and linguistic descriptions. It enables a climate of polarization to easily take hold. 5/6
