It was so great to have such a fine bunch of TY students & teachers Rita & Dara of #Ballinrobe CS with us yesterday to enjoy our 4in1 schools package-research talk with @roryward_1998; VR with @K_Neeil; coding with Al, Carlos & Bharathi; & guided #ComputerMuseum tour with myself
TYs were back at @insight_centre @uniofgalway to experience the wonderful day hosted by Brendan Smith @speediecelt and Adul @K_Neeil. Such an educational day with a research talk on Automatic Image Colorization, Python and Virtual Reality workshops with some great people!

Very annoyed that @NormaFoleyTD1 has insisted schools open for a day and a half or in the case of some schools a day and 90 minutes on Tuesday. Could have brought us back early if she didn’t trust us to remote teach, will result in lots of avoidable isolation cases over xmas.

It is with heavy hearts that we announce Sir Ken Robinson died peacefully yesterday, 21st August 2020, surrounded by family after a short battle with cancer. We will be following up with a further update as we begin to follow Sir Ken’s wishes and honour his legacy.
